Mariana works as a service designer at the Finnish Ministry of the Interior. She is part of the Inland Design innovation and design laboratory (inlandesign.fi). She is Argentine. In her spare time, when she's not swimming, she works for the social design podcast in Spanish: Diseño y diaspora. She believes in networking and is part of many professional and activist collaborative groups. You will usually see her advocating for different causes, cooking, or reading. Yes! She loves to read so much that at some point she did a Ph.D. in interaction design, specializing in how to make museums more democratic spaces. The projects she is most passionate about are those where she can apply design for vulnerable populations by thinking ahead with imagination and creativity.
