The current crisis forces us to think about Chilean cultural institutions and the challenges that still remain pending in its future development. We cannot overlook the current situation regarding the context of Covid-19 that has revealed the precarities and situations of our sector. Bárbara Negrón and Javiera Novoa will give us some advances on the National Monitoring Study of Cultural Workers conducted by the OPC Cultural Policy Observatory, which aims to account for the economic and social situation of cultural workers during this health crisis. They will comment on the follow-up that makes it possible to describe the evolution of cultural workers conditions, in addition to evaluating whether the public support measures have been effective. Also, Deputy Marcelo Díaz will review the milestones in relation to the current political action in culture and will frame the challenges that we must consider in future strategies for the Arts.
